The Spring/Summer 2020 collections are jam-packed with epic looks from some of the most prominent Black designers in the biz including LaQuan Smith, Romeo Hunte, Victor Glemaud, Christopher John Rogers, Pyer Moss and more. We were also blown away by statement-making presentations from Prabal Guring and Chromat, both celebrating their 10-year anniversaries. Gurung’s moving finale, featured 60 diverse models wearing a sash emblazoned with the words: “Who gets to be American?”, while Chromat celebrated an inclusive array of genders, sizes, and backgrounds.
In the midst of all this social commentary, there was also plenty of great fashion to match. From electric hues to cowgirl-inspired separates, these are some of my favorite looks so far.
