Jourdan Dunn@Daughters

I am hoping to be able to lend my support to a Sickle Cell charity in the near future, as I want to try and help raise money and awareness about this disease.

Jourdan Dunn is a British model born on August 3 1990. She was spotted by a Storm model agent in the Primark clothing store in the Hammersmith area of London, and by 16 she had walked her first runways for Marc Jacobs and Ralph Lauren.
Jourdan Dunn’s endless legs and supermodel smile have propelled her to superstardom. In 2008 she closed the Rodarte and Alexander McQueen shows and opened Matthew Williamson’s last Pucci show as well as being named Model of the Year by the British Fashion Council and being photographed by Terry Richardson for the Vogue Paris 2009 calendar.

Following the birth of her son in 2009, the young model, tipped as a rising star by Vogue US, put her career on hold, returning to the runway the following year for big names such as Dior, Thierry Mugler, Louis Vuitton and Valentino. 2011 saw Dunn truly hit the big time when she was named face of Burberry and Yves Saint Laurent cosmetics.
The model has been vocal about her objection to the fashion world being unrepresentative of ethnic diversity in society.

Dunn continues to break ground in the struggle for fairer ethnic representation in fashion, and in 2008 she was the first black model to walk in a Prada show since Naomi Campbell. Dunn cites the iconic 1990s model as her idol, and she has expressed a desire to return to business school and establish a model agency which represents girls of all ethnicities.
